Big Boy Training 101

In going through pictures on my phone, I found this one that I think I forgot to post a couple of weeks ago.  One evening the scouts had a meeting for new recruits, and Zane and Matt went as a resource for them.  Matt said it was pretty cool seeing the older scouts, such as Zane, helping the new scouts know the rules of the game, being in charge, etc.  So proud of our scout!

Also found these that Matt sent me when we were home for Grandma Beggs' funeral.  The boys went fishing while there and Bryce liked picking up the worms!

Bryce had fun at Jo's.  His buddy Harper turned one so they got to celebrate his big day.  We got Harper a drum set because what one year old doesn't need a drum set!?!

The kids having some coloring time!
Mason's homework this week was to make a book box that he could keep at home to put books in.  He sat down one night this week and was really into it!  We took this picture when he THOUGHT he was done, but after this he found stickers and decorated it even more.  Part of the assignment was to either bring it to school or take a photo and send it to the teacher.  He did NOT want to take it in, so we sent the picture to her.

Ready to read!
When the weather turned cool this week, I wasn't prepared with the boys' clothes.  That morning I realized both Zane and Mason only had one pair of pants that fit them!  AAH!  So I had to go out that night to find some other clothes they could wear.  Nothing like last minute!  While I was out and about Matt sent me this photo...saying Bryce got real quiet and he found him in our bathroom like this:

Brown sugar anyone???  Just like his brother Mason!
And yesterday when I was out running errands Matt sent me this photo.  Zane has been spending a lot of time this weekend finding youtube videos of shark drawings and drawing them as well.  He has such amazing talent!

Shark Attack!
This weekend we started big boy (bathroom - I highly dislike the "p" word) training with Bryce.  He's been aware of the bathroom for awhile...so we thought it was time.  Let's say he's been a little different thus far than the other two.  I distinctly remember that Zane had 4 accidents the first morning we tried, and after that stayed dry for almost a week.  Yesterday was our first day with this and I think we went through 11 pairs of underwear and did not go in the bathroom once the entire day.  As I type it is 3:00 on Sunday and we again have YET to go in the toilet!  So very frustrating!  However...I am determined to stay strong and stick with it so as to not confuse him.  I know he can do it!  I will give him credit.  We take him into the bathroom about every 30 minutes and he TRIES...but for some reason about 5-10 minutes after that, almost like clockwork, he has an accident.  Hoping the next few days are smoother!
