Mason is 6!!!

I forgot to post this last week...Zane and Mason found some youtube videos outlining different pranks you could play on people.  Matt saw Zane get the saran wrap from the drawer and run into the bathroom.  So I played it up and pretended he got me.  But we had to take pictures of his first "prank!"

He needs to work on the presentation...

But a good concept!

Some pictures from Jo's this week:

Almost everyone...Avery, Nicholas, Bryce, Arthur, and Kerrigan.  Just missing Harper!
Thursday evening was the first Open Library Night at Mason's school.  They made paddles, ate a snack, and shopped at the book fair.

Bryce pouting because he wanted TWO books...not ONE book!
Friday evening we invited some of Mason's friends to have supper and fun at Chuck E Cheese.  It was great to see everyone!

Today was Mason's actual birthday.  We slept in and enjoyed that, then went to get donuts and to Target for him to pick out his gifts.  He chose a bike and some Spiderman action figures.  Around lunchtime, Craig and Keeta surprised him by visiting!  He chose CiCi's for lunch, then we came back home to play and have cupcakes.  He's been begging to put up the Christmas tree, so we did that this evening.  I think he's most excited about Buzz's return - he keeps asking about that as well.  We shall see if putting the tree up brings Buzz to our house!  :)

CHEESE!

Trying to escape the camera...not so fast my dear!

Getting everything up!
It is so hard for me to believe that Mason is 6 already!  Time sure does fly!  Every birthday I'm a mixture of excited and sad.  I try not to let the sad overtake everything else, but it's so hard when you realize how fast it all does go!  But, these boys don't give me much time to be sad or reflect on time passing before my eyes!

It's also crazy to think that Thanksgiving is this week!  It's a short work week - only 2 days of school and then off for a few!  Really looking forward to some time off of work and family time together!  Have a fabulous week!

Catching up

I found some photos I hadn't posted yet so wanted to get caught up a little bit:

The pumpkin Mason decorated (all by himself) for his library

Zane's school picture (seriously...haircut needed and I did NOT order a red background)!

This week started nice and ended COLD!  Jo and the gang took some opportunities to go out before the cold front came!

PASTA!  The boy loves it!

Picking them up!
This week was hectic at school!  I was exhausted!  One morning Bryce got up about an hour earlier than normal.  He said "Mommy, I want waffle!"  I told him to wait.  A little bit later I heard him in the kitchen and assumed he was getting himself some cereal.  WRONG!  He came into our room and said "I got 2 sugars!  You want one?"  He had gotten into the brown sugar and got two full bowls!  Oh my!  These boys and their brown sugar!

Breakfast of champions!
This weekend Mom and Dad came down Friday night.  We hung out at home.  Saturday mom and I took off for St. Louis to attend a baby shower for our new grandson/nephew coming in about 10 more weeks!  We are very excited and can't wait to meet him!  I forgot my camera so have no pictures, even forgot to get them from mom's camera - whoops!  While we were gone Mason decided to vacuum the whole house!  Woohoo!  I'm gonna get these boys trained!  Someday their wives will thank me!  :)

Great helper!

November!?!

Is it SERIOUSLY November already?  I can hardly believe it!  Mason is so excited because he knows his birthday is very soon!  He is now telling people he is "almost 6."

We've been busy this week, just busy with life in general, and not much going on photo-worthy.  So...this post is photos I found on my phone that I had forgotten about and hadn't posted.  First up - during October the boys' Y-Club (after school care) hosted a parents night out.  This was the first one we could take all 3 boys to so Matt and I enjoyed going to watch one of the Royals games (World Series Game 3) with friends while the boys played!

Supper time!
I don't remember when this one was taken - but Mason fell asleep with gum in his mouth!  Haha!

Here are some photos from the week from Jo's house:

This week I got my hair colored...dark...almost black!  I love it!  I'll have to take a good picture to show everyone but it's very noticeable!  While I was gone I got a text with this photo:

The boys' supper while mom is away...
 And then this one...
Zane is such an amazing artist!  And Mason is following in his footsteps!  Got it from their dad!
Matt found a site where you can zoom into your seat at Kauffman and find yourself!  He didn't find us at every game, and hasn't checked the WS ones, but I thought this was funny that we could even find ourselves!

Cheering
We look really into the game here...
There we are!

You can see us better here!
This weekend we have spent looking at new houses.  We'd really like a home with 4 bedrooms and a 2-story instead of split level.  This house has been great for us for 11 years...but we are outgrowing it!  Fingers crossed that something works out for us!  It's exciting...stressful...worrisome...all wrapped together!
