Gobble, Gobble!

Warning:  LOTS of pictures!

Last weekend we had family pictures taken and they turned out really good!  Here are just a few of my favorites (did you notice the new picture at the top of the blog?  Thanks pinterest for the idea...love it!):

Giggling at Daddy "shaking his butt."

My boys...and soon to add another!

Happy Mason

This past week was a lot different for us three years ago...the Sunday before Thanksgiving we welcomed Mason into our family! It's very hard to believe that it's been three years already...yet it's hard to imagine life before him! This week we only had school/daycare for two days.  Tuesday Mason celebrated his birthday at Jo's house with his friends.  They all brought him a gift, which is so nice!!!  He got some grinchy stuff, which he loved, Cars 2, some nerf dart guns, a bath toy, a train case and book.  I asked him what his favorite gift was, and he said "Um...all of them!"

Hugging his presents from Jo!

Look at what Jo made for me!

Make a wish!

We were lucky that we didn't have school on Mason's actual birthday, so Zane and I got to spend the whole day with him! Unfortunately Matt had to work, but we got to have a fun evening!

Opening his presents on his "real" birthday!

Tradition at our house...wake up with balloons covering your floor!  I didn't have enough balloons to cover much of the floor, but I made due with what I had...compliments of Bunch Hardware...thanks!

Happy Birthday Roo!

Wednesday evening we headed to Platte City.  In October, Zane won a character award for "responsibility" at school.  We were very proud!  He was invited to their Christmas lighting ceremony to be recognized.  So we headed that way.  It really reminded us of home...activities on main street...small town feel...it was fun!

All the kids who came to be recognized for showing "responsibility" in October!  Way to go Zane!
He spotted me taking his picture!

They had crafts after the ceremony.  We were all over that!

There was free popcorn...yum!  Here are the boys waiting for the balloon artist.

Mason got a sword...Zane got a crazy hat!

After that, we asked Mason where he wanted to eat for his birthday supper.  He wasn't sure and wanted ideas, so out of the places we listed for him, he chose 54th Street.  We had a nice supper, then they brought him out a dessert!  They loved every bite of it!

YUM!  Dig in!
We saved one last present for when Matt was home with us.  Since it had to be assembled and not wrapped, we had Mason hide his eyes.  Here he is hiding!
No peeking!

Giving his basketball hoop a kiss!  He called it a "basketball shoot!"

Thursday morning we loaded up and headed to Omaha.  We were having Thanksgiving with my mom's side at my cousin Brian's house.  At one time or another, everyone was able to be there.  We had a great time!

Our hosts...Heidi and Brian...who are soon to be married!!!  Thanks for everything guys!

Aaron, Adam, Brian, Matt, and I (see my hand on my belly) hanging out in the living room!

Friday we spent at Matt's parents house.  We watched the Iowa/Nebraska game...with the outcome not what we wanted!  Next year...next year...then on Saturday morning we got up and ready and headed to Des. Moines.  We had the Baker Thanksgiving there.  We went to Disney on Ice, then stayed in a hotel with an indoor "water park."  We did this last year and had so much fun that it's quickly becoming a tradition!

Mason ready for the ice show
Zane enjoying the ice show (he just bounced around and smiled through the whole thing)!

And this was how Mason was the whole time...straight faced...except when Goofy fell down, then he laughed out loud!  And during intermission he was mad and said "Is it over?"  He was glad to hear that it was just a break!

The boys' favorites were:
Captain Hook

The Lion King

Mickey

Goofy...especially when he fell down!

The boys spent their time at the hotel in the water!
Zane and Porter

Tate (I tried to get Mason to pose with him...he didn't cooperate).
Instead...Mason swam around on his own...

Trying to get all 4 boys to look and smile...good luck!  Tate, Zane, Mason, Porter

Eating supper...Brent, Craig, Keeta, Dennis, Sherri, Mason, Tate, Porter

Mindy, Grandma, Grandpa, Ty, Matt, Brent, Sherri, Mason, Tate, Porter

Gotcha this time little ones!  Mason and Tate
We traveled a lot of miles in 4 days...but enjoyed it all!  It was great to see everyone!  We have now finished our holiday traveling...we will be staying PUT until baby Roger arrives.  My goal is to make it through Christmas and still be pregnant!  So...no Christmas travel for us...but you are all welcome to come to our house anytime!
