My favorite kind of weather is thunderstorms. Mason has become quite nervous with weather conditions lately so I try to get him to love this weather as much as I do. Last week it began raining and thundering, so I told everyone I was going into the garage to read and enjoy it. Everyone followed me out! Mason was a little upset, but ended up getting over it and somewhat enjoying it!

I don't know why everything always has to happen in the same week, but that seems to be the case more often than not. Mason started tee ball and he was supposed to graduate the same night. We ended up moving his graduation to the next night so we could attend both. He has been asking to be in baseball and seems really interested in learning about the game. He watches the Royals on tv very closely and always wants to play catch with Matt at night. This week he had two practices.

Wednesday was Mason's PreK Graduation. Jo also closed early that day to attend her daughter's 5th grade promotion. It worked out that Matt's parents could come down early to get Bryce, picked up the other boys, and stay for graduation. My parents were able to come as well. We have such amazing support! If you know Mason...you know he's a little picky about his clothing. We have been prepping him for months about what he had to wear for graduation. I was sure we wouldn't be able to get him into anything other than a t-shirt and sweatpants, but thankfully he did as we asked and wore his shirt and tie. He looked so extremely handsome! He did tell me that his friend Max would look "gorgeouser than him" because he also had a vest!

We were all finally done with school on Friday! Woohoo! So this weekend we planned to just get things done around the house and possibly make a list of summertime things to do. Saturday we got word that Matt's Grandma Beggs had a heart attack and was being life flighted. We were just getting ready to go swimming and didn't know what to do. After talking to Matt's mom, we decided to take the boys swimming for a little bit, then head to Des. Moines for the rest of the weekend. When we got there we went to the hospital to see her. She was in icu so the boys couldn't go in, but we got to see her for a little bit. Then we went to Marcy's to eat some pizza, and my parents' house to spend the night. Sunday we spent most of the day at the hospital. There wasn't much change with her throughout the day. When they got her there Saturday they put a stent in. Her blood pressure was all over the place, which is why she went to icu. They have been trying to move her to a new room forever, but are so full they don't have beds. We are being told it will happen sometime this evening...we shall see. Prayers are appreciated for Grandma Beggs!
While we were at the hospital, the boys stayed with my parents. They played, went fishing, and just had a fun time! When we came to get them, they didn't want to leave! Not too far down the road, this is what I saw in the backseat:

Today, our first official day of summer, we've been quite lazy. I'm typing this at 4:45 p.m. and the older two are still in their pj's (I can't lie, I am too) and we are loving every minute of it! Maybe tomorrow we'll actually get dressed and do something...ha! And what else do you do on a lazy summer day...lay on the floor and eat Goldfish!
