How oh how do these weeks keep flying by? We are trying to make the most of them with lots of pool, outside, and family time! My brother Aaron was in town last week for work, so he was able to come to Zane's baseball practice on Tuesday. Both of the boys were excited to have him there! It was also picture day so Aaron didn't get the full effect of practice, but got to see a little bit of it! Of course Mason wanted him to play also, so he got in some "catch" time as well.

So since this is my third pregnancy, my body seems to know what to do...and since I'm always feeling yucky, I eat often...so I'm already starting to be able to tell there's a baby there! We were 10 weeks on Tuesday and we began our weekly "belly pictures." Of course the boys had to get in on the fun also!

Thursday I had an all-day class to attend (I didn't even make it 2 weeks before I was doing school stuff already...). Matt wasn't terribly busy at work, so he decided to stay home with the boys. Whenever the 3 of them stay home, they always do fun stuff! Matt took them to Crown Center to the "choo-choo" restaurant (Fritz's). Zane has been there quite a bit, and Mason was there last summer, but I don't think he remembered it. If you've never been there, it's really a great place for kids! They built train tracks all around and the trains actually deliver your food to your table! Matt said he could hardly keep up with all the trains and kept watching them all to see what they were doing. It was fun to hear him tell me about how the food came to them!

They all came home and rested. Zane was still awake when I got back from my class, but about an hour before tball he decided to fall asleep. Well, I know Zane, and when he gets woken up earlier than he's ready to be awake, it's never good. So when we woke him up, he was a MESS! He sobbed the entire way there. I was not looking forward to the game at all! The pictures below show the story of his night...how he began as a grump and ended up having fun!

| Hi Mom! |
All week long Zane has had a very loose tooth. He would push it out with his tongue and it would stick STRAIGHT out! I could barely stand to look at it! Friday I was hungry for Mr. Goodcents, so we loaded into the car for lunch. As we were heading there Zane wanted a piece of gum. So I gave him one. On our way in to Mr. Goodcents, I thought about the piece of gum and said "Zane, you might want to be careful chewing that gum. It could make your tooth come out!" He stopped, reached into his mouth, and handed me...HIS TOOTH! I thought he was giving me his gum...but oh no...it was his tooth! We were both pretty excited! We hugged...he gave me the tooth...and we just couldn't get over it. My baby's growing up! He was very excited to put it in his tooth fairy pillow (thanks Jo!) that night! He kept messing with the hole in his mouth, saying it felt funny, and just smiling from ear to ear! We had to call Dad, Grandma, and Papa right away...then he was tired of calling people so we quit!

Friday we stayed in KC and decided to take the boys to Kung Fu Panda 2. We figured it could be our "practice" movie before Cars 2 this Friday. We knew Zane would do fine, but weren't sure how Mason would do. His only other movie was when he was just a couple of months old! He did GREAT at first...just sat there smiling and giggling at me...then got antsy in the middle (I almost left with him) and straightened back out at the end. We're still not sure if he'll be going to Cars 2 or not...I hope he does because I don't know how we'll decide who gets to go and who has to stay home!
Saturday morning we headed to Iowa. We went to Papa/Grandma Farmer's house. We had lunch, Mason and I took naps, and Zane played outside. Then Papa took him fishing and Mason joined them when he woke up. While at the races, I received a text with the following picture. Mason caught a fish! The report was that he was pretty excited and said, "Papa, I caught a fish!"

Sunday we went to Grandma Beggs' house. We had the entire family, minus only one cousin, there! Because Grandpa Beggs donated his body to science after he passed, we just received his remains back from the college he went to last month. So this weekend we were finally able to bury grandpa. It was a tough day for the family, but also nice that we now have a place to visit him! What a great man, who is missed daily! Even though it hasn't gotten "easier" without Grandpa, and we miss him dearly, I saw this quote and really liked it:
Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it's one day further from the last time you saw each other, it's one day closer to the next time you will. ~Author Unknown

 |
| Goal: To get a picture with Grandma and all of the great-grandkids. Accomplished??? Sort of...I took probably 20 shots...if all kids were looking, then Grandma wasn't. If Grandma was, all the kids weren't...so this is the best we got...without photoshopping people from one picture to the next! L-R: Corbyn, Keaton, Grandma, Mason, Kenna, Zane, Mattaya |
