| Zane's FIRST EVER home run! I couldn't figure out why the kid stopped running and wasn't trying to catch the ball. Then I realized it's because it went over the fence! I stood up so quickly and was screaming so loud I thought I may pass out! Ha! What an exciting moment! So proud of this kid! |
When we took Mason to the doctor in August for his thigh sprain, they heard a funny sound in his heart. So we took him back to have it looked at. I had to take the afternoon off to take him to the doctor. Thankfully the appointment went well, all turned out fine (they actually looked at me like "why are you here" because they didn't hear what the first doctor heard), so we were thankful! We had lunch together and I told him we needed to take a picture of our lunch. This is what I got...

Bryce is such a trooper, going to all of his big brothers' practices, games, events. He and another little brother decided to put the flags on and play some football during practice one day.
 |
| Boys...this isn't tackle! Ha! |
Mason's grade level musical was about Disney and the Cars movie was the theme for his class. They were asked to dress as a car and make a car out of cardboard. When crafts are necessary, it's dad to the rescue around here! Matt was also commissioned to make a car for Mason's buddy Braeden. He did an AMAZING job and they were the BEST looking cars on stage!

This year the boys decided they would actually go trick-or-treating, so we checked the costumes out at Target one day.
October also marks the end of fall baseball for the boys.
 |
| Lots of walking happened for the first kid-pitch season... |

| I wonder what was funny??? |
And October is a super busy month for me at school. It brings the end of the quarter, report cards, and conferences. We are so thankful for Grandma Keeta, who is always willing to come down on my days off to spend time with the boys. They so much look forward to Grandma days!

Grandma stayed an extra night so we could go out with friends to celebrate Matt's birthday. It was a fun night with lots of laughs!

The KC A's FINALLY won their last tournament of the fall season! It was a very exciting...and COLD...tournament! Zane pitched in the championship game and I was a WRECK! He did very well in the tournament overall. At third base he had a play I wish I had on video. He fielded a grounder on the run, right on the foul line, turned, and fired it to first, throwing the kid out. It seriously looked like a play you'd see in the majors. It was awesome!

Our school has a Halloween party with a costume parade. Bryce did NOT want to wear a costume. I kept asking him, and telling him he'd be the only one without a costume. He did not care one bit. He just wore his regular clothes, and he was the only one without a costume. I am sure some parents there saw him and thought "that poor kid doesn't have a costume." Many have no idea he is my child.

One of the teachers on my team loves Halloween and started talking about our group costume almost as soon as school started! We decided to go with Mario Kart. I convinced Matt he needed to use his cardboard car making skills to make 5 more cars for our costumes and he did great! I was Yoshi. I have a student in my class obsessed with Yoshi so I knew this was the costume for me! Each year the staff votes on best costumes. We won for group costume, and I won for individual costume! What a great day!
There is a new place in Zona Rosa called DraftCade. There are tons of old-school video games there. You pay $6 for a bracelet and can play the games as much as you want. We took the boys there for lunch one day. They had fun!

 |
| Bryce usually makes up his own rules in games... |
 |
| Brother vs. brother... |
The last football game of the season is called Defendergeddon - Team Fisher vs. Team Garcia. This year Team Garcia beat us, just about the same score as we beat them last year. In the first half of the game Mason started feeling like he was going to get sick. He came out of the game and never went back in. I was sad that he didn't get to play most of the game. He had done so well all year! He never ended up getting sick, other than a little fever, sore throat, and headache.
 |
| Down...set...HIKE! |
 |
| Who's open...??? |
 |
| We were trying to convince him he was ok and needed to go back in... |
The Garcias invited us over for Halloween. We had chili and hot dogs, snacks, a fire pit, and trick or treated together. It was a very cold night, but the boys got TONS of candy and had a great time!
