June

June was full of baseball!  It is hard to believe as crazy as our schedule looked for the month of June that we are now sitting here with no baseball to go to!  I miss it already!

We received our football pictures back and already Mason looks so different than he did in these photos!  I must say I like his shorter hair better!

Go Defenders!

Team Fisher!  Only one loss on the season!
In June we've gone to quite a few new release movies.  We started our summer with Captain Underpants!  Bryce especially was very excited about this coming out.  He would come downstairs in his underwear, with a cape sometimes, and say he was Captain Underpants!  We have been going to a different theatre, a little farther away from our house, but you can reserve your seats in advance, and they are reclining chairs!  So comfy, so much space, and you don't have to get there early!  We have also been going in the mornings so that we can go for $5 each.  A great deal for summer days!

Mason's baseball team, Ambush, played in a couple of tournaments this summer.  This particular one was called the Big League Chew tournament.  One of the moms is super creative and she made these "fat heads" for us to use for cheering.  They were really cute!  Unfortunately they didn't help us win the tournament, but we loved them just the same!

With the boys having so many games, there were a few times they were playing at the same time, at completely different places.  Matt always went with Zane because he helped out with the team, so I always went with Mason.  I hate missing any of their games/events, but am thankful for Craig and Keeta coming down often and keeping me informed, and for Game Changer, an app for Zane's team where you can watch the games play by play.

Slugger!
Zane has worked so very hard this baseball season.  He was in a bit of a hitting slump in the fall, so he and Matt practiced over the winter and really improved himself!  He is now a hitting machine!  Baseball is pretty important to Zane and he will do whatever he can to improve.  I love this so much about him!  I didn't even realize he had done this, but he looked up some quotes on the internet, wrote this one out, and had it taped inside his baseball bag so that he saw it every time he got into his bag!

During the Ambush games, there is a group of dads that stands in the outfield to watch the games.  They've gotten to be pretty good friends and sometimes will meet to hang out in the evenings.  This was one such evening:

We had a really fun party to celebrate our spring football season for the Defenders.  There was a parent-child flag football game (I took photos, Matt played), picnic, and awards.  It is always fun to get together with these families just to have fun and let the boys have more time together!

He was so happy and proud!

Go Mason and Defenders!

Buddies!
The next morning...he kept staring at his award and wouldn't let it go!
One of Mason's baseball teammates had a birthday party and invited the team over.  It was a ton of fun!  They had a blow up slide, pool, water balloons, and the boys had a blast!  We took this photo of them all crammed in a baby pool and thought it would be a good one to use in the senior slideshow!  Ha!

Just chillin!

Zane's spring baseball photo.  Go Storm Chasers!

Zane's team - The Storm Chasers

We have lots of moms who love to take photos of our teams, and I love when they do!

My life (and I love it)!
One of the recess teachers at my school has kids the same age as both Bryce and Mason.  They asked Bryce to go to the movie Cars 3 with them.  He wasn't too keen on going without us, so we made it a date with all of us!  Such a good movie!

At the Storm Chasers' last practice of the season, Zane asked if he could try catching.  He did a great job!  I feel like Zane's the kid that could play any position!  He's a great learner and with practice will work to get better!

The Storm Chasers had a day at the water park for the end of year celebration.  It was fun to hang out with the families away from the ball fields!

Bryce would wait by the end of the slide and give others a high five!

He also did this slide over, and over, and over, and over...

Father's Day was like any other Sunday, we spent it having lunch together than went to Mason's ball game!

Some of our local bowling alleys have a "Kids Bowl Free" program where your kids can each get 2 free games of bowling each summer week day.  I've signed up in the past and never used it.  This year Mason is really into bowling so I thought I'd try again.  He asks me about 3-4 days a week.  So far we've only gone 3 times (have to schedule it between ball games) but they boys love it!  Bryce is the only one who won't bowl...maybe next year?  I have a feeling we'll be doing this until we can't anymore!

My bowlers!

Strike?
There is a lot of fighting and arguing in our house.  Some days it's exhausting.  But then you will see them have a moment of getting along and you catch it on camera (thanks grandma)!

Give them electronics and they'll do anything to get along...
As June wound down, so did baseball.  The boys had their end of season tournament and they had a game on the same day at the same time, but at least the fields were right beside each other!  Zane's game started a little earlier than Mason's so we were there early.  Mason's teammate Brock was too so his mom took their picture!

Ambush buddies!
The Ambush moms got together and got the team a water cooler, First Aid kit, and gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings for the coaches.  After our last game we went to eat at BWW and they were already there using their gift!  :)

Ambush coaches!
On Zane's birthday, my cousin Brian and his wife Heidi had a baby boy, James.  I was unable to go to his "meet and greet" due to baseball, so we took a day trip to Omaha so we could all meet him!  We had an amazing visit and can't wait to see him again!

It's already July!  My oh my how fast time does fly!  June was an amazing month for us!  I know July will be as well!
