April Fool's!

Is this weather for real?  Or has it been a week-long April Fool's?  It has been gorgeous!  We have been able to get a lot of outside playtime in!  We are sure enjoying it!

Bryce is growing so quickly!  He moves around a lot...if you put him on the floor, he'll eventually turn himself in a complete circle!  I had him in the bouncy seat the other day and he almost kicked his way out of the top of it!  This is my BABY!  I really don't want him growing this fast!  Jo noticed this as well, so she put him in the jumparoo this week!  Seems so early for this!

I was excited for this weekend becuase I'd been seeing all kinds of cute ideas for April Fool's Day dinners!  I decided to make "CupcakesP" (meatloaf with mashed potato "frosting"), "oranges" (orange peels with orange jello inside), "peas" (chewy sweet tarts), and "blue juice" (jello).  I'm not sure the kids completely "got it" but they thought it was funny.  Mason kept trying to drink the "juice" and said "I can't drink it!"  He didn't realize I was playing a joke on them!

Today it was HOT out!  I just heard on the news that the weather record from 1889 was broken today!  Whew!  We went to get some ice cream this afternoon and this is what our car said - 89 degrees on April 1st!

Today I was running some errands and Matt said Zane was intently working on something.  After he was done, he came out with this:

He had Matt help him spell the title, but he wrote all of the notes himself!  Then he played it on our recorder (that part wasn't the MOST beautiful)!  I told him I was proud of him and that he should take it to school to show his music teacher and he said, "She'd say 'that isn't a real song.'"  But I told him I thought she'd be proud of how he listened to her and learned from her!



Zane's next release will be "Seeds, Seeds, Seeds."

Tonight we tried skyping with Matt's parents...we could see and hear them but they could only see us...so they will be looking into getting higher speed internet so we can skype regularly!
