I can hardly believe we are back at school again! Let's just say it was very welcome this year...has been a rough summer for the boys and I in our apartment! We were in need of structure, routine, and SPACE! We are very ready for our house to be done!
I started last week. The lady who usually watches the boys on my work days and days I don't have school was not able to take them this year, so Grandma Keeta rescued us by coming to stay for a week! The boys were SOOOOOOOO excited to have her here and it was so comforting to know I didn't have to worry about them or what time I came home, I could just get my work done! We are so thankful!
Bryce started school first. He began on Monday. He's at the same school as last year, just in a different room. We had his back to school night the week before he started.

Matt had a meeting for our house the morning Bryce started back to school, so I asked him to take Bryce since I had a meeting to drive to. We had everything laid out and ready to go the night before, he was excited!

Um...Bryce...your sign is upside down

Cool dude!
Zane and Mason are now going to my school! So we are all 3 Hornets! We had our back to school night on Tuesday. Grandma brought the boys and Matt met them there. They spent the evening getting new shirts, meeting their teachers, bouncing in bounce houses, and eating ice cream. It was so crazy to see them at MY school that is now THEIR school too!

On the first day of school we all loaded up, dropped Bryce off, then the boys went to school with me. I kept looking at them saying "this is so weird. I'm not dropping you off. You're going with me!" I still don't think it's sunk in. At the end of the first day when Mason walked in my room I said "Oh, hi!" It was neat to be able to see them walking by in the hallway, talking to Zane at his lunchtime, etc. I'm going to love being where they are and being able to be more involved than I was able to from afar!

This weekend we were going to go to the Iowa State Fair. However, plans changed when Zane and Mason both joined fall baseball teams and now have practices on the weekends. That's okay, though, because as I type this on Saturday afternoon I have the apartment clean, groceries bought and put away, am on my last load of laundry, and almost have my blog post finished! If we were at the fair I'd have none of that done and our week wouldn't start as great as it will now. We hate that we're missing it but looking on the bright side!

At lunch and Bryce put his arm around Matt and said "Cheese" so I took a picture. The "4" is because "I'm 4!"
