We had a gorgeous week in KC! There were even some "short-appropriate" days! It is so refreshing to see the sunshine and feel the warmth on our skin! We've been trying to take as much advantage of this nice weather as we possibly can!

All week long, the boys talk about going to Papa/Grandma's house...I hear "I ride the tractor? I go with Papa in the tractor? Mom when are we going to Grandma's?" And on...and on...they adore their grandparents...who wouldn't when they have their undivided attention for 2 entire days! This weekend we headed to Iowa on Friday. Saturday we kind of had a pretty lazy day...it was rainy and cold...so was a great day to stay in and just spend time together. I hate to admit it...but I didn't even get out of my pajamas all day! I was ready for a day like that! Sunday we went to Grandma Baker's house for our first Easter gathering. Matt was in charge of making the prime rib. As always, he did an amazing job and it was so good! His prime rib is quickly becoming a tradition at many of our family gatherings!

The boys had such a great time together! Every time they are together, they pick up right where they left off the last time! They act as if they've never been apart. I wish they could spend more time together, but we are so glad that they love the time they do have! It was fun (and crazy) to watch them!

Zane-isms
After the boys' haircuts this week, I made their next appointment, but didn't have any paper, so just wrote the time on my hand. Zane didn't really understand what I was doing and why I had written on my hand, so he asked me about it. I told him it was kind of like a note, so I wouldn't forget it. Then he looked at me and said, "Mom, will you tell me you love me?" I said "Zane I love you all the time!" He said, "No, will you write it on my hand so I don't forget it!" (AWWW...)
Now that we've been going to Grandma/Papa's for a few weeks, Zane's remembering how much fun it is...last night as he was going to bed he started crying and said, "I miss Grandma! I want Grandma!" Matt was trying to console him and he said, "She has everything I ever want." Matt asked what he was referring to and he said, "Like crafts and just everything." The poor boy cried himself to sleep! Then tonight as he was going to bed, he noticed one of the crafts he had made there and he picked it up, looked at it, and said, "I miss Grandma. When I see this I think of her." (Again...AWWW...)
Mason's Marvels
If only Matt or I are home at bedtime to put Mason down, he'll say "I going to wait for Mom/Dad." The other night I was out getting groceries, and when I returned Mason heard me and said, "Mom! You're home!" Then I got a HUGE hug and he wanted me to rock him. So sweet!
Tonight I had to head to Target for a gift. I had just put Mason to bed, and then heard him holler for me. He needed his tummy rubbed! I had my purse on my shoulder and he said, "Mom, where are you going?" I said "Nowhere." He said, why do you have your purse?" I said I was just going to look through it and right before I walked out he said, "You aren't going anywhere?"
The other night when Mason was SUPPOSED to be falling asleep, I heard him get out of his room and go into the pantry. When I went in to check on him, he had 3 little boxes of raisins, and was lining them up on the floor in his room. I asked what he was doing, and he said, "I'm making a bridge." I tell ya, a great staller is he!
