Is this a joke...or is it really July already? It seems like we just got out of school (oh wait, we did) and now here we are at the point I always say "well, summer's pretty much over." I know, I know, I shouldn't complain, I get summers off, yada yada...but just as we are getting into a good groove and making so many fun memories...reality hits!

And I also can't believe that we are 1/3 through this pregnancy! The first 12 weeks have brought lots of nausea and I'm hoping that will begin to subside soon. So far this week I'm feeling pretty good! The unfortunate part is that I'm seeming to gain quite a bit of weight already...sure hope it doesn't keep up this way! I'm now actually 13 weeks and have another appointment in a couple of weeks. I always look forward to those to hear the baby's heartbeat and make sure all is well!

We spent our week at the pool and hanging out at home. It was a pretty hot and humid week, so we were either inside or at the pool cooling off! Friday we headed to mom and dad's house. Chris decided not to race Saturday so it was a nice weekend to just relax and hang out! Friday evening we did some fireworks with the boys at mom and dad's, and Saturday we went boating...had to make sure the boat is ready for the Ozarks!

Sunday we woke up and headed back home. We were excited to spend the 4th at home! On the way we had to stop and get some fireworks. That night we were invited to a gathering at Yancy's house (who Matt works for on Wednesdays). Zane was SO EXCITED for fireworks...he could barely contain himself! He kept asking...ALL DAY LONG...when it would get dark so we could do them! We had a great time that night...great food...great fellowship...great fireworks!

Monday was the 4th. Jo lives right on the parade route, so she invited us to watch the parade from her driveway. It was very nice to have a place to park and sit.

Monday evening the Ottis family invited us to come over to their house for a cookout and fireworks. I can't even explain in words what it's like to be at their house on the 4th of July...it's crazy! And loud! And never stops! We went there a few years ago and had a blast...so were looking forward to sharing the evening with all our kids there! Thanks to the Ottis' for being such great friends and inviting us...we had a blast!

Next up...vacation! Yippee! We are so excited! I just wish that once it started time would slow down...but it won't! So...my next post will probably be after we return. I'm sure I'll have LOTS to post!!!
