October - Ending in our NEW HOUSE!

October's going to get its own post! :)  Lots going on in this month!

Mr. Thomas!  We're missing him and can't wait to see him soon!
We started October hanging with some football friends at their fire pit!  Fun times!

So relaxing!
 More baseball...
Pitching!

He did SO great and helped his team win their division!
That form though! :)

That's a wrap!

Go Storm Chasers!

Zane had his 5th grade Musical.  It was about good old rock and roll!  His costume was pretty easy!

Ready to rock!

5th grade.  He's so tall, but so are many others!

The whole 5th grade

He took out the trash during Yakety Yak "take out the papers and the trash..."

He's not looking real amused!
Matt and I traveled to Omaha for my cousin's wedding.  Grandma Keeta stayed in KC with the boys.  Mason had a baseball tournament and Zane had a baseball end of season party.  Mason's team didn't do as well as we'd anticipated.  We played up a level for the tournament and the other teams were GOOD!  We found out later that many teams play DOWN in tournaments so we were playing harder teams.

Bryce "schooling" everyone on what is what with his tractor collection!

Mason and Braeden on their way to their tournament!

Braeden's mom had this made for us!  It hung on the back of the dugout!
Go Ambush!

Bomber!
Get it!

We had a great time at Jess's wedding!  We go there Friday night for the rehearsal.  Saturday we walked to the farmer's market and just enjoyed some quiet time, then family time!

Ready to party!

Me with the beautiful bride!

Curt's sisters - they are so much fun!

Mr. Thomas dressed to impress!
Matt's BIG 40th birthday was October 12th.  Keeta was here because the boys didn't have school at the end of the week so she stayed with them.  We went to Joe's BBQ to celebrate!

Mason's teacher loves Joe's so I told him to pose for a picture for her.  This was his pose...

But when I asked him to pose for a family photo, he hid and gave a peace sign!  We see who rates around here!
Grandma and Bryce went shopping.  He couldn't decide if he should be Santa...

or an elf!

Aren't we cute?!?

One day Zane's teacher texted me asking if he was okay because she didn't get a hug at the end of the day.  I told him, so he wanted me to send her a text of him hugging her!

Our household was super excited for the World Series - well, as excited as we could be for a World Series without the Royals!  Bryce's favorite team is the Indians so he was pumped!  He and Grandma Judy had a bet about who would win.  Now Bryce owes her a Snickers...

The night they made it to the World Series!  Bryce was cheering!
With two sports going on at one time we sometimes have crazy weekends!  One weekend in October we started with football, moved into baseball tournaments for both boys at the same time, then had a birthday party to round the day out!  Crazy...busy...FUN!
Get em Mason!

These boys were super fun to watch this year!

All I wanted was a nice photo of them both with their medals...
Zane and Bryce had a sleepover with Adam and Bethany (Here's Bryce the football player at Buffalo Wild Wings)!

Mason had a sleepover with his buddy Colt!

Celebrating with our good friend Gina!

Lenox boys!  Andy, Matt, Brian

Mr. Fix-it!

Zane drew this.  He's so talented!

Zane is in Mathletics this year and had his first competition in October.  He was super nervous, but did great!  I think he's glad to have one competition over with so he knows more what to expect!

Ready to do some math!

Really focusing!

Go Bearcats!
The last weekend in October was the weekend we moved to our house!  We signed on Thursday morning, before I had conferences from 12-8.  It was super hard sitting at school for 8 hours knowing I owned this new house!  Keeta and the boys moved their clothes over and I told Matt to move the beds so we could sleep there.  Mom and Dad also came down and got ready for Friday moving day!

Friday we spent the day loading and unloading.  We got everything from the apartment in one trip.  Once it was unloaded my mom and Keeta went to the apartment to clean it so I could put the kitchen all away in the house.  That was SO nice and they did an amazing job!  The guys all went to get things from the garage and storage units.  Bryce stayed with me because he had a fever...bad timing...but he slept while I organized!

That evening Mason had football practice so he went with another parent and teammate.  They took team photos which turned out GREAT!

Why does he NEVER smile for me like this?

Bulls!
These boys are awesome!

Being silly!

Sunrise on the first morning in our home!!
Saturday morning Mason had his last regular season football game.  Afterwards, Keeta took them home overnight so we could get some unpacking done!  It was amazing!

Bulls with their moms!

Bryce received all of these goodies from Uncle Brent!

Last look at our apartment...I will NOT miss it!

By Sunday evening we could park our van in the garage!  TIRED and SORE but so worth it!

Bryce's face to Grandma Judy when she said thumbs down to the Indians!
Our first holiday in the house was Halloween!  For awhile before that the boys told me they didn't want costumes, they wanted to stay home and pass out candy.  So that's what we did!  That evening, when they saw all the kids and the candy they had, they were re-thinking their choice, but we didn't have costumes, so they stayed home anyway!  For our first year we had around 60 trick-or-treaters!

Thomas in his adorable costume!

Mason's class party

Donut contest!

I haven't taken any updated pictures of the house...will have to do that soon!  For now we are getting everything in its place and settled, and loving all of our newfound space!!!
